Sometimes as a person, we have to make had decisions that we don’t want to be faced with, let alone do. With the economy the worst it has been in 70 years I was faced with a very awkward and devastating situation. The question was to do what was morally and ethically wrong and possible illegal to boot. I know many of our politicians today have no problem with doing what is morally, ethically wrong, and even illegal, but most of the people in our country want to do what is right. To me, if you don’t have your integrity, you do not have anything.
I had brought some major problems to my director, problems that were not just immoral and unethical, but in several cases illegal. I showed him where another manager was lying and directing his people to illegally charge our customer. For trying to head off a possible law suite my reward was being told “you are cherry picking”, “you are an alarmist”. After I show him proof his answer was, “it is none of your business what I do or have him do”. I had to step back and reevaluate. I was the Quality Manager in charge of quality and compliance and had to make one of the hardest decision of my life, I resigned. I had a choice to keep my integrity or keep my job, I can always find another job (sooner or later) but reestablishing your integrity is not so easy.
I tell you this because our government is doing the exact same thing my director was, committing actions that are ethically wrong, and even illegal, loosing what little integrity they may have had left. This is not a Democrat or Republican politician debate; all of them are doing these atrocities. If I, a little known person without a large bank account unlike most politicians, can do the ethical and honorable thing, why can’t our politicians from both sides do likewise?
The House Ethics Manual clearly states the following, “Some standards of conduct derive from criminal law. Violations of these standards may lead to a fine or imprisonment, or both. In some instances, such as conversion of government funds or property to one‘s own use or false claims concerning expenses or allowances, the Department of Justice may seek restitution.”
We could wipe out have of the sitting Congress on this one rule alone. I wonder if the have even read what the standard they are to be serving we the people. If you read further you can find even more standards our congress refuses to follow:
Page 20
The Code of Ethics for Government Service articulates broad ethical guidelines for ―all Government employees, including officeholders.‖ The 85th Congress adopted this Code in 1958.93 among other things, the Code stresses that any person in government service should:
• Adhere to the highest moral principles;
• Give a full day‘s labor for a full day's pay;
• Never discriminate unfairly by dispensing special favors;
• Never accept favors or benefits that might be construed as influencing the performance of governmental duties;
• Make no private promises binding on the duties of office;
• Engage in no business with the Government inconsistent with the performance of governmental duties;
• Never use information received confidentially in the performance of governmental duties for making private profit; and
• Uphold the Constitution, laws, and legal regulations of the United States and of all governments therein and never be a party to their evasion.
I’m pretty sure this could wipe out both Speakers of the Houses and the other half of congress, especially sense this one sounds familiar,” Never accept favors or benefits that might be construed as influencing the performance of governmental duties;”, can you say Health Care Bill. Strange how the Democrats and Republicans want to make rules for others but won’t follow their own.

Bribery and Illegal Gratuities
The solicitation or acceptance of a gift that is tied to an official act may implicate the U.S. criminal code. The federal bribery statute makes it a crime for a public official, including a Member, officer, or employee of the House, to ask for or receive gifts, money, or other things of value in connection with the performance of official duties. Bribery occurs when a federal official ―directly, or indirectly, corruptly‖ receives or asks for ―anything of value personally or for any other person or entity, in return for . . . being influenced in the performance of any official act.‖76
Can you say Health Care Bill and half of every thing else passed by congress recently? Where is the integrity and ethics filling every fiber of their soul? The answer is, nether side, bar a hand full, know what having integrity and ethics means let alone having any in a single fiber of their soul.

General Prohibition Against Using Official Resources for Campaign or Political Purpose
As detailed below, official resources of the House must, as a general rule, be used for the performance of official business of the House, and hence those resources may not be used for campaign or political purposes. The laws and rules referenced in this section reflect ―the basic principle that government funds should not be spent to help incumbents gain reelection.‖3
I’m not even going to touch this one.

False Claims and Fraud
All I have to say here is look at both Democrats and Republicans vacations and transportation expenditures, millions are wasted here.
So let us take a look for a second, like most average Americans, I am faced with doing something immoral and illegal because my boss wants it done. Unlike Congress and their leader, the President and both Speakers, my boss can fire me for not doing what he says; only the Congresses constituents can fire them. The President and both Speakers can tell Congress to do something immoral and illegal but they have no power to make Congress follow them. I have seen people stand up for what is morally right in past Congresses, but I’m afraid all integrity has left both the Democrat and Republican parties. In the last few elections it has not been who the best person for office is, but who is the lesser of two evils. If I, the common man can stand up for what is right, our politicians should be able to also. I’m not worried about my job; someone out there will want an honest employee.

Racism, No matter who it comes from, it is WRONG!
Before we can talk about racism, we need to understand the definition. Most people do not understand the true definition of racism. Racism can be against any race and perpetrated by any race. If you go to the dictionaries the dictionaries has many different definitions but here are the top six. Some of the definitions show us how we are betraying humanity in today’s society. When I say we I mean all races.
1. A belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial difference produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.
2. Racial prejudice or discrimination.
3. A belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
4. Hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
5. A policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
6. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.
At the turn of the century the white English was very much the epitome of a group of people who felt and acted superior to all others. Today in England though it still exists, it is far and few. Today many Black Muslim groups believe as the English did at the turn of the century, that their race and religion are superior to any other on earth. There’s no one group of people superior to any other group of people but this doesn’t stop them from thinking it and teaching it. The reality is it’s just a figment of their imagination to try and hide their fears of inadequacy.
Hatred and intolerance has many toxic vines. Racial groups who were once discriminated against are now allowing their people to fester into the exact entity they fought so hard to remove from society. You have white racist groups such as David Duke's KKK, black racist groups such as "Dr. Malik Zulu Shabazz’s New Black Panthers, Muslim racist groups (too many to mention), Spanish races groups like Aztlan, and Asian races groups as well. Any person or group of people no matter black and white or any other races who hates another person or group of people solely because the color of their skin or their ethnic background are no different then Hitler and slave traders.
The most shocking item to me today is that many of these are hate groups claim to have some religious background. It could be a radical mosque with a cleric who preaches
“Hate all other groups that are not Muslim”. It could be“Christian” groups, which are really just plain hating cults such as Rev. Wright’s or Thomas Kroenke church which claimed to be Christian but his teachings shows us otherwise. I do not care which group it is, they’re all scabs on our society. One of my favorite quotes “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” This is what we in society should be striving to achieve, instead many of our racial groups teach and preach racism. If Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was alive today he would be very disheartened and disappointed by the moment he once started and what it has become. His ideal was for all to have the same chance at the same job for the same payee to be able to achieve the same stature in society. His ideal was not to become a nanny state for everybody to have handouts without lifting a hand to complete an honest day’s work but we learn from our leaders and masters at discrimination.
Our government is one of the biggest discriminators you will ever be able to find. Many times the discrimination our government shows is in relation to whom they think has been discriminated against in the past. If you go to the big cities you’ll notice that the youth have less respect as a whole compared to the youth in rule areas. We have forgotten to teach our kids morals and respect so now they think you only get respect with either money or a gun which leads them to either jail or the morgue. They have the same chances as the youths in rule areas but in many cases they are told and taught to live off of excuses and deceitfulness and now even the rule areas area catching up to this practice. Our inner city schools and parents need to start teaching their children respect for others, a proper work ethic, and the fact that you need to work for what you want to achieve in life. Our government is very liberal and they are to blame for our youth being this way today.
Our U.S. Congress is one of the biggest discriminators in the world. If you or I as common citizens didn’t pay our taxes we would be in jail yet almost a third of our Congress have been shown to be delinquent in their taxes. Many have received D.U.I.s, committed sexual assaults, taken bribes, and flat out lie to us their constituents to push their own agenda instead of what would be best for the country. In this country at one time we had a Congress that was noble, respectful, and had integrity; now all I can see in Congress is a bunch of criminals, bribers, liars, embezzlers, and basically just flat out unethical people. The integrity of our Congress is gone and we need to replace it and replace them with people of integrity. If you are were pulled over for a D.U.I. You can bet we would go to jail. If you read the U.S. constitution, you will see that any Congress person with a questionable reputation should not serve in Congress. I do not care if you’re a democrat, republican, independent, or a libertarian you should be removed from office when you failed to protect our country and uphold the U.S. constitution. The lack of this is where prejudices acquire its motivation.
Our judicial system is another place where you can see prejudice from our government. I believe the worst thing that has ever happened to our judicial system is plea bargaining cases to a lower criminal act because this allows justice to fail. One of the other judicial flaws is the difference in the sentencing of different groups compared to others. If you have a schoolteacher who is a female and a schoolteacher who is a male having sex with a student, the male teacher will get up to four times on average a longer sentence. If a woman murders a man and a man murders a woman, the man will get a third less time behind bars than the woman. No matter if you’re a woman or a man if you commit the same crime you should get same sentence. No matter if you’re black, white, Spanish, Asian, or any other race or gender, if you commit the same crime you should get the same sentence. Likewise if you are a habitual offender you should not be treated the same as someone who it is their first offense.
The one thing I want to say is many people have a misunderstanding about discrimination and race. It does not matter what race you are, all races can be discriminated against. Any time you set up a television show, a magazine, or a college fund which discriminates against any other race, you had just committed a bigoted act. This is only the case if any of the other races are not allowed to do likewise being called racist because they do. This is currently the case in the U.S. Media as well as the U.S. Congress. I am an independent, but I have watched our democrats in Congress call anybody who disagrees with Barack Obama a racist. These actions just go on to show our Congress who is to be above reproach is acting childish and idiotic. The party and its agenda, Democrat or Republican, mean more then what is right and honorable in congress today. Every members of our Congress who made that statement calling others racist should be removed immediately. Many of our leaders in Congress believe we as citizens are unable to make good choices so they must intervene in push their own agenda instead of the will of the people. This is known as totalitarianism.
If you have a group of people who believe they are superior or that they are owed items by society just for living, this is really just a ploy to cover up their own inadequacies and wrong choices. If you choose to drop the school, your situation is of your own creation and no one else is responsible except yourself. If you had made a bad choice, you can now choose to keep making bad choices by blaming everybody else but yourself for your situation, or you can choose to go back to school to get your GED to better your situation and then go to college if you desire. Everything is your choice and no matter what your situation is, it has always been your choice to be there or to be out of there. I grew up in one of the poorest areas in the nation. As a young kid I looked around and saw the choices I had in life. I could choose to stay in that improvised area or find a way out to better my standing in society, I chose the ladder. Many people make the wrong choice because it is home. For the same reason many people make the wrong choice about being racist. If you grew up in a family situation where your dad hates blacks, whites, or any other race, you have a choice to follow his path of ignorance or choose to judge people on their own merit. The choice is yours!

Prejudice
It’s amazing I sit and watch children playing on a playground; black, white, latino, and oriental and none of them seem to care about the color of the others skin. These young children have no problem with whom their friends, their looks, their economic background, religious preference or lack of, or their ethnic background. Unfortunately this will all change, usually by the parents, teaching discrimination.
I had never seen as much discrimination as I have seen in our Congress, if you can discriminate against it are Congress will. If someone breaks the law, it should not matter what their look, what their ethnic background, what their social standings, or where they work; this is the foundation for what our constitution stands. Unfortunately today this is not the case, only if it is politically correct no matter the danger presented to the U.S. citizens and our nation. If someone was breaking and entering into your home, they would be breaking the law and in many cases depending where you are from may even be shot and killed by the person defending their home. What is the difference between this and someone breaking into our country? They are still breaking and entering into our country, which is against the law, yet our Congress does not do a thing for political reasons. Our U.S. citizens have been robbed, raped, kidnapped, sold into slavery, and murdered and yet our Congress still will not raise a hand to protect them. No matter what side of this debate you’re on, these people are breaking U.S. laws. If you let people violate our borders and our country’s laws, what will stop them from violating all of our laws?
Arizona comes up with a bill to basically enforce what the Federal government refuses to do. The Federal immigration laws do not protect against racial profiling as well as the Arizona law. What is the response of the Federal government to a state trying to protect its citizens, let’s file a lawsuit! Illegal alien means exactly that, they are illegal and breaking the law. If they are not U.S. citizens, they have no constitutional rights. They do have the right to be humanely treated, but again they do not have any U.S. citizen rights. The Arizona law is far from the discriminatory. But without a doubt we can look at our Congress and political parties to show us true discrimination.
A white police officer arrests a black Harvard law professor for disorderly conduct when called out on a potential burglary. Our president steps in to the mess when he comments that the officer acted stupidly. In mass of two sys a black police officer who says his colleague acted correctly was labeled as an “Uncle Tom”. The question I have is why is the president involved in this police matter at all? The charges were later dropped leaving no doubt because of race and the president’s involvement. The black police officer said he had spoken the truth and that Gates should consider whether he may have caused the grave and potential irreversible harm to the struggle for racial harmony. When our president makes statements on the basis of race over law, it really sets a dangerous precedence. What is even worse than this is what happened at the 2008 elections.
During the 2008 elections, we had the hate group, New Black Panthers in front of a polling place with weapons spending racial comments and intimidating voters. The New Black Panthers was originally part of the Nation of Islam whose leader is Louis Farrakhan. The New Black Panthers founded by Khalid Abdul Muhammad who was sole racist and radical that even the Nation of Islam distance themselves. The department of justice has a slam dunk case against the New Black Panthers but was told not to pursue it for racial reasons. The New Black Panthers members violated the basic a rights of all U.S. citizens and was given a pass not because they were innocent up because of their race. This is just as a bad as if the KKK would have been given the past for the horrendous act of lynching people because they were white.
Any act of racism is wrong! Our Federal government portraying these acts betrays our country, our citizens, and our constitution. The racism and bigotry in our country must stop but can only stop if our leaders first stop committing these acts in the name of partisan politics. There is no difference from having a professor in a college discriminate against you because you’re conservative or liberal, the KKK discriminating because you are not white, the New Black Panthers discriminating against you because you are white, or someone using the race card to claim discrimination when none exists. Martin Luther King statement, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character” should be what we strive to achieve a in our country. If the content of your character is extremely flawed, do not blame anybody but yourself! No matter what group of people you claim or associate with, the only way they will ever achieve Martin Luther King’s dream is to that group’s leaders instill into their youth good character instead of condoning bad actions. Unfortunately our media is probably the most biased and prejudiced group in the U.S. today. The media should be reporting on every party we have in the U.S. their good and bad instead of showing political agendas and lying to the public or selling half truths. A reporter’s job is to report the news from both sides and let the people formed their own opinion. Without any integrity in our news agencies, discrimination will remain rampant.

Our Schools and Their Problem
What is the problem with our schools? The biggest problem is its not being ran like a business. Our schools suffer from the mushroom effect, union effect, bureaucracy effect, no pride effect, everyone is equal effect, and discipline and consequences effect just to name a few. Now most of these sound like I’m getting down on the students, I know; but I am really talking about the teachers and management plus other factors which have changed our school system for the worse.
Before I go any further, let’s get the big cookie out of the way so we can discuss all factors of this problem. This is the documented facts and even when I may not like them, they are the facts. It doesn’t matter if you are a Christian, atheist or somewhere in the middle, the original school system was founded through the churches in our countries early history. Within the church system there was a set of values each student was taught from 1st grade and there were very little if any disciplinary or any other problem in school systems. It is probably no coincidence, 17 years after taking prayer out of school was when all the school shooting started to really escalate. Like it or not the school system under the churches kept morale standards in the school system that has all but vanished today. You need to realize I’m not talking about the Christian side but rather the disciplinary side. Christian or not, if you do not have an unwavering morale standard is place; the only direction to go is down. We in the school system have lost that standard.
The Mushroom Effect
I know you are saying, “What is the mushroom effect?” Simply put, it is when you have more chiefs than Indians. The bureaucracy in the public school system is ludicrous; no business could survive like that. There is so much waste in the public school system that it has no choice but to fail. The bureaucracy eats from 60% to 80% of the school budget which means it never gets to the class rooms like it should. When I read the schools budgets and find out the school superintendents secretary makes more then every teacher in that district, that is a problem. I thought this may have been an isolated case but after further research, I found out it was the norm. 25% of the people were getting 60% of the salary in the budget. No company can survive like this, why should we tax payers have too.
The Union Effect
Another big problem is the union effect. I really wouldn’t have a problem with unions if they would do what is right and ethical for the employer when problems arise. If you have a teacher that is subpar; you should be able to fire them no questions asked and I mean fired, not none of the Ney York stick them on the pay roll no matter if they do anything or not. No matter what product you are delivering, if you have faulty equipment, you first try and fix it, if you can’t you get a new one. The same is true about subpar teachers, you first try to correct there problem, monitor it to validate fix, and if it’s not fixed, get a new one.
The Bureaucracy Effect
The bureaucracy effect is probably one of the biggest traceable money drains with no value there is. I want you to ask you some questions;
Why does a private school operate on a much smaller budget but have students scoring much higher than public school students?
The answers are what will blow your mind. As we talked about earlier, the mushroom effect makes are leadership very top heavy. The bureaucracy effect is created by this leadership. In the business world you have something called lean management. What lean management does is slims down your overhead so you as a company can operate more efficiently and making more of a profit. The bureaucracy in the public school system not only wastes money that could be used to hire more teachers or give good ones pay raises, but it also cause more red tape then any company can afford. So we end up with a wasteful slow system in place of one that could be efficient.
The No Pride Effect
Why is the national drop-out rate around 20% but major cities drop-out rates are nearly 50%? There are a couple of reasons but having no pride or self worth is the hardest hitting. Kids are raised today in a lot of harmful situations. Every day they are hearing from their parents, or more likely singular parent, that they are worthless, will never amount to anything, not worth the trouble or even worse and we wonder why they have a self-esteem problem. This problem is because their parent(s) see themselves as failures and out of their pride or self-resentment, don’t want their kids to be any better then them. This is sad but true and when they get to school, the teachers whom are just there for a job and not because they want and desire to be a teacher compound the problem. The good teachers you use to always hear about in the school systems are becoming less and less. The unions are one of the biggest reasons for this because it is next to impossible to fire a bad teacher, especially if they have tenure. Many of these bad teachers bring down the students just as bad as the parent did. This just confirms to the student that they are worthless. Many inner city as well as suburban schools bad teachers who should be fired will teach prejudice to students no matter if they are white, black, Spanish, Asian, religious preference, lifestyle, etc. This should be a first time firing offence if it is blatant and purposeful. All this does nothing but bring the child down. This is just as abusive as any other type of abuse you can find and should be treated as such by the social workers in the areas. Too many times they are more worried about political correctness then what is best for the children. This is why so many join gangs, just so they can fill like they belong. This can be fixed but no one has the balls to do it.
Everyone is Equal Effect
The bureaucrats need to realize “EVERYONE IS NOT EQUAL OR THE SAME!!!” Everyone has the same (or should) chance to be whatever they want to be when they grow up, the only thing holding them back is themselves. That being said one of the biggest mistakes our school systems have made is cutting out Vo-Tech paths of education. Not everyone wants to go to college or even have the mental aptitude to go to college. Many want to, and would be very happy being builders, mechanics, machinists, etc because it is what they like to do. Not everyone can learn the same or even pass high school. I hate to disappoint you, but some student through choice or inability will not pass high school. When you pass everyone so we don’t hurt their feelings of those who can’t normally pass, what happens is you have just lowered the educated level of every student in that class. Some are saying, “How can you say that, it is nothing but a lie” but the facts supports what I say. The item we have lost in this bureaucratic leftist debacle is that hard work, discipline, and integrity is what makes you or (the lack of) breaks you. Trying to make everyone the same just frustrates the ones who literally can’t achieve the high marks, and lowers the drive of those who can make the high marks because you are giving them to the ones who don’t deserve it.
Discipline and Consequences Effect
The last area is the discipline and consequences effect. No matter what anyone makes or service they provide, without standards and consequences you will seldom have a good product no matter how much money you throw at the problem or people you assign to it.
I do believe in corporal punishment. When we had it in the school system you had 90% less problems. You need to be honest and ask yourself (especially if you disagree), why was that? A very well known professor told us if we spanked children we would;”damage their self-esteems and reasoning” and he was right. Where he missed the mark was if your self-esteem is leading you down the wrong path, it needs to be damaged to get you back on the right path and your reasoning will tell them if they do it again the same consequence will happen again. Now I’m not saying spank your kids for everything but I am saying it is a very good tool to use in conjunction with others when needed. There are many studies, including one by Marjorie Gunnoe, a psychology professor that have found spanking children make them more successful and happier in life. This shouldn’t be surprising because throughout history studies have always found people always do better and flourish in a structured environment with rules compared to a chaotic environment. The only structure and discipline many of these kids will ever receive is in the school system and this may be the only chance any of them will have to learn right and wrong.
There is a fix to this problem but it would be very unpopular and go in the face of people who believe kids are possessions.
First, you need to turn the whole public school system over to the private sector. The private sector always does a better more efficient job then the government. You can start by letting all parents eligible to get voucher for their children.
The second step would be to get away from all the indoctrinations and agendas from all sides and get back to the basics. This includes showing both sides to any issue that can’t be proven. Evolution and Creation would be one of these because neither theory can be proven. Both are theories, not scientific laws. You can’t prove Creation because you have to believe to see, so if you never believe you will never see. If you could show the actual Ten Commandments or find the Ark you may have a chance but neither has been done in the last 2000 years. Evolution can’t be proven and has many holes including it violates the law of biogenesis which has never been violated. It has had many “scientist” caught falsifying data (sounds like global warming) to prove their point which makes it even more unbelievable. Why would you have to falsify data if something is true?
Third, you would want to set up a system where you can put kids that are being abused. If a parent wanted to send their kid there because it was safer then where they lived, something could be arranged. The money you would save from going private sector ran would pay for it so you wouldn’t have to raise taxes.
There are many more ways to fix the problem but I think these should be the first three.
Health Care and Immigration Fixes
There are as we know many problems in the health care system. Many off the problems have simple solutions but people do not like to look at the facts which you need to do before you can fix anything. The fact is you need to find the root cause of the problem to fix it instead of putting Band-Aids on symptoms. Some of you may not understand what I am saying so let me spell it out.
1. Too many people are allowed to bring frivolous law suits against doctors this raises the malpractice insurance which in turn will raise the amount we pay for health care. Do I think you should not be allowed to sue a doctor? Yes I do think you should be allowed to sue doctors, but if it is a frivolous lawsuit, you should pay for the lawyers. This should also be the case with elected government officials. If you bring a frivolous law suit against an elected official and loose, you should pay the lawyer fees. You probably wonder why I feel this way. The reason is it would stop many of the cases where people are not damaged but just looking to make a quick dollar. I watched a lady sue the emergency room doctor who saved her life after a nasty automobile accident for leaving to big of a scare. He saved her life and this was the thanks he received. She ended up losing the case but he still had to pay his lawyer fees and what had he done wrong, nothing. Now to the other side, if a doctor has more than three incidents of proven malpractice in less than five years causing significant damage to a patient, they permanently lose their license in the US to practice medicine.
2. Once the Pharmaceuticals companies they have five years to make their profits unfettered. After that time the paten will be open to all.
3. Why can you go to Mexico and get cured of certain cancers but you can’t in the US. The truth is the US Pharmaceuticals companies would rather make a huge profit and let you and your loved ones suffer and die then a smaller profit and let you live. The flip side of this coin is that the FDA is in their back pockets. Approval processes can be, and should be much faster without jeopardizing anyone’s health for an example, look how fast they pushed the day after pill through, and it wasn’t safe, so don’t tell me it can’t be done for other drugs. Just think about it: I will die of cancer if you don’t approve this drug. Can’t do that, we don’t think it’s safe. If Pharmaceuticals companies from outside the US have made drugs to cure what the US companies have not, or have not released, they should be allowed to distribute their products in the US without the FDA blocking it to help the US companies.
4. Open health care insurance across state lines so the people can get the best deal for their money. This one step would lower health insurance premiums a substantial amount.
5. The last and best one. Medicare and Medicaid will be used by all elected officials will not be subsidized in any way to raise the class of health care they receive above the common man and the amount of his coverage. This will be the only insurance they are allowed to carry while in office. By doing this two very important things will happen. First elected officials will see what the common person has to put up with on a daily basis. Second, it will make them figure out ways to make health care better for their benefit and at the same time benefit everyone else.
One item left off this is the uninsured. I am a realist and realizes many people truly can’t afford health care insurance and the life and limb directives currently used don’t seem to handle the bill when it come to the common cold. What I have also notice is many people saying they can’t afford health insurance can, they just choose to have other priorities in their life that until something happens, are more important than health care insurance. Let me give you some examples:
1. I know a man who claims he can’t afford health care insurance yet he can afford that $800 dollar car payment each month. He can afford it; he made the choice in his priorities.
2. I know another man who claims he can’t afford health care insurance yet he can afford that $2800 dollar house payment each month. He can afford it; he made the choice in his priorities.
3. I know another man who claims he can’t afford health care insurance yet he can afford the $150 dollar a week bar tab which adds up to around $650 a month. He can afford it; he made the choice in his priorities.
4. I know another man who claims he can’t afford health care insurance yet he can afford the $250 dollar a month cable TV with every channel you can imagine and he and his wife can afford three packs of cigarettes a day for a $360 dollar a month bill which together adds up to $610 a month. He can afford it; he made the choice in his priorities.
I hope you can see what I’m talking about; I am talking about people living above the means of their income. You might wonder what gives me the right to say this and this is the answer. Having a car might be a need, having one with an $800 price tag isn’t a necessity, it’s a want. You can buy a $187 a month Hyundai and have plenty of money for health insurance. If you look up the numbers, around 15% of Americans say they can’t afford health insurance which is around 46 million. Of the 46 million, about 10 percent sincerely can’t afford health insurance which leaves about 4.6 million people uninsured. Fancy cars, nice houses, smoking, drinking, even cell phones are not a necessity but a luxury. If you choose luxury over necessity, that is your choice and you need to live with its results. Now for the 4.6 million it wouldn’t be a problem in the US for them to visit the emergency rooms when having trouble and not able to pay. The hospitals could afford it without a problem and could write it off as a tax deduction. If people would have the right priorities and stop living above their means life would be good, but they won’t. It’s called being irresponsible and wanting everyone else to foot the bill for you. I don’t have cable or a BlackBerry so I can afford health insurance. You should follow my example if you don’t have insurance.
The final point on the healthcare fix is just as ugly as the last, illegal aliens. Our immigration laws need to be rewritten and I think everyone can agree with that. It is one of the main reasons our medical cost have gone through the roof. This is why immigration reform and healthcare must be dealt with together.
1. We need to have a system in place to allow people wanting to work to come here legally. The businesses looking to hire them need to fill out the paperwork and arrange their living quarters and health service requirements with a local provider. They will be photographed, fingerprinted, and DNA samples taken and enter into the DNA data base. They will pay minimum co-pay every time they go to the provider to prevent going just because it’s there. By doing this, they won’t put a strain on the medical facilities in the area as currently is happening and the needy ones will receive quicker care.
2. It will be the hiring businesses responsibility to keep track of their employees. If one does not come to work and can’t be found, they must notify the authorities immediately. If they have skipped town a warrant will be issued with an immediate deportation order connected to it. If they are caught with illegal drugs, have a violent episode, or receive a DUI/DWI, the first time will be a warning; the second time will be deportation with no return allowed. If they are caught in gang activities; they will be deportation with no return allowed. If they do return and is caught, 10 years with no chance of parole. Each additional time, the sentence is doubled. If anyone is caught bringing bomb making materials or chemicals for mass murder, they will be sentenced to life with no chance of parole. The US will pay Mexico to jail these people under the Mexican rules of imprisonment.
3. There will be no anchor babies, if the mother is deported, the baby is deported. If they work in the US for 5 years with no incidents, they can apply to become a citizen and will be granted probationary citizen ship. This will allow them to do anything a citizen can but vote. In two years, if they have remained an upstanding citizen they will automatically receive full citizenship. The only way they can have their citizenship revoked is to be caught bringing drugs into the US or have in possession bomb making materials, chemicals for mass murder, or human trafficking in or outside the US,
One caveat to the above, if any state or city becomes a sanctuary for illegal aliens, they will be given a thirty day notice. If they continue to violate federal law, they will lose all federal funding until they have started following the law.
Both northern and southern border fences must be put up and manned by either border patrol, active duty military, or even having all 50 states give their guard members two week guard time to spend on one of the borders. This will ensure national security and US sovereignty.
Don’t Ask Don’t Tell
It is amazing how no one debating this issue has really looked at all the aspects that surround it, they all only look at it from their agendas view.
Most military people don’t care if you are gay or not, but being family oriented, they don’t want it flaunted in front of their children. I was in the military and know I worked next to people who were gay, it didn’t bother me. Even though I do not believe it is a proper lifestyle because it goes against nature, it is theirs to choose and live. Unfortunately by me saying “I do not believe it is a proper lifestyle” radicals will say I am a homophobe because personal attacks is what they do instead of debating issues; “If you don’t agree with everything we say, you have a phobia of some type, but we are tolerant”. That doesn’t sound to tolerant to me, ignorant yes, tolerant no.
Let’s get back to the issue; should we keep don’t ask don’t tell in place? The answer to me is yes. Even though most homosexuals would not go out and start throwing it up in your face, some will. In the military if you seen two heterosexual do this same action, you would tell them to knock it off or go get a hotel room. If you did this to a gay couple, the first thing that will be said is “discrimination, you’re prejudice, homophobe”. You notice what I said would happen to the heterosexual above, yet this small group of the homosexuals would say we are suppressing their freedom of speech or use some other ludicrous remark. Special rights would be given to the group for political correctness reasons.
The other side of this coin (this will get me in trouble) by doing this, you will then have open discrimination in the military based on sexual orientation. How you might say. First you need to know that many times in your military career you will be mandated by conditions to take open showers with others because that is your living conditions. You will also have several people in the dorms/barracks sleeping together. If you truly want don’t ask don’t tell to be abolished, you must have all personnel, male and female, able to shower and share rooms with no choice to them who they shower or room with.
I know, many of you are saying this is ludicrous so let me explain. Currently in the military you are separated by your gender. You are not allowed to take showers or room with the opposite gender because of your sexual orientation and your attraction to that gender. If I was gay, this would not be true. If I were gay and had a roommate that was, everyone would know and you would have animosity build up in heterosexuals because they under current rules could not have the same opportunities forded to them. In other words, to make everything completely non-discriminatory for all sexual orientations you would have to randomly assign people to rooms without gender being a factor. You would have to assign people to shower times also without gender being a factor. If gays like the same sex and heterosexuals like the opposite sex, should not both be given the same chance to room and shower with the desire of their heart? This would be the only way to be completely non-discriminatory for all sexual orientations, otherwise it will be discriminatory.
If you can’t see the logic of this argument, you need to open your eyes and look at it from all views instead of your political agenda. I think it should stay in place because of the problems it will cause because I really don’t see the above happening to make a non-discriminatory environment so there will be discrimination, but it will be against the majority for the benefit of the minority. Is that fair?
